For nearshore projects, our marine plant and equipment enables United Group to offer a range of drilling, testing and installation work in a safe and efficient manner. Capable of operating from high water level to water depths of around 30 meters, and we are planning to increase it to 48 meters in the next platform, our jack-up platforms can be mobilized to almost any coastal location.

Capabilities

With a proven track record of deploying in seas, rivers and lakes worldwide we can undertake a wide range of in situ and laboratory-based nearshore site investigation. Capability includes:

  • Soil and rock drilling – boring and coring up to 200 m depth.

  • Deep drilling.

  • Wireline logging.

  • Cone penetration testing (CPT).

  • Alluvial sampling.

  • Remote seabed sampling.

  • Instrumentation installation.

  • Shallow transition zone surveys bridging the data gap between land and water.

United Group undertakes soil analysis for projects in Arabic and African countries and delivers the report via your selected method (secure website, email, fax or hardcopy). Not only do we undertake sophisticated testing programs, but we can also assist you with packing the materials and transporting samples to enable minimal sample disturbance. We can also train you in classification and sampling procedures as well as permeability testing.
