Project Overview:
United Group partnered with the Egyptian consortium to install advanced dam monitoring systems at
Tanzania’s flagship hydropower project. This massive infrastructure serves as a strategic power and
irrigation hub for East Africa.
Scope & Technical Work:
Supplied and installed piezometers, strain sensors, and deformation monitoring equipment across key
dam structures. Established a remote data center for continuous performance evaluation and integrated
data visualization dashboards.
Challenges & Solutions:
Difficult terrain and heavy rainfall required durable, waterproof data units and reinforced sensor
housings.
Results & Impact:
Delivered a robust real-time monitoring system ensuring dam safety, early anomaly detection, and
compliance with international hydropower standards.
