Project Overview:
The El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant is Egypt’s first nuclear energy project and one of the region’s largest
infrastructure initiatives. United Group was commissioned to perform a complete geotechnical and
hydrogeological study to ensure long-term site stability and environmental safety.
Scope & Technical Work:
Our engineers conducted over 70 deep boreholes, groundwater observation wells, seismic refraction
and MASW tests, and laboratory analysis of soil and rock samples.
Challenges & Solutions:
The site’s coastal location required advanced modeling to mitigate groundwater fluctuations and
liquefaction risks.
Results & Impact:
Our work delivered a comprehensive technical dataset and foundation design parameters supporting
the construction of Egypt’s first nuclear facility under international safety standards.
